There’s no place like home.

And that’s the damage.  I don’t think it will be a big fix, but it’s  a fix that will have to wait till next month.  I missed more than a few days of work and my check is going to be short.  And the truth is I don’t have to fix it,  but I want to, I like my awning.  I have two wind chimes I tie to the pole, one is from my Mom and when I hear it, I know she’s with me.  Here’s the thing about storms,  when you have to evacuate, of course, you bring your important documents, you’ll be surprised by the things you take.  Sure I got my computers, but most of it was sentimental things, artwork I was gifted, little things I treasured, things Monte treasured.

I’m glad to be home.
